Four stone bodies resembling huge bookcases rise from the ground and carry the main reading hall. They connect between the lower floors where the library’s assets are stored, to the upper floors which is the main activity space. The upper floors open to a broad vista of the city and its surroundings. Enveloping the reading hall, a shading system unites the corresponding spaces into one structure.
